Lots of paperwork, DOT physical (whether you have one or not,) drug test, a simulator test (it was a road test when I did it) - get through all of that - then its classes, get your fuel card, get assigned a trainer, and get on the road.

Be on time everywhere - make sure you disclose any and all medical conditions you may have, and can call the appropriate doctor if they need additional documentation. Same goes for traffic violations, past brushes with the law...

I've been there about 6 times in the last two months. Doesn't seem to be much progress, but the lot/pavement seems to be deteriorating quickly. Weather can't be helping... Deep ruts exiting the inbound bay between the building and the hill.

Really? You must have really screwed-up to get it ratcheted-down all the way to 58...

58? I believe Jack's is set to 67... 'cause he can easily cruise at 65.

Yeah, Pittston leaves a lot to be desired, but it has the essentials in terms of "amenities". U2 is right, though -- rutting is really bad. But you're usually not there for long, so you just suck it up 'til you can move on.

    It's close to a Wal-Mart, too. :yes2557:

Yes,new wal mart is nice.I love when I can Bobtail to a Wal Mart. Why is it every time someone comes on any forum asking a Prime driver a question.A Prime wash out that couldn't cut it here chimes in.I think if the OP wanted your opinion he would ask you.

I'm at the JoJo Truckstop in Ft.wayne In looking at my settlement that shows a take home of 1402.00$ for the past week, and some moron is on the CB trashing Prime about how bad we are to work for and you can't make any money here.

I ask him,'how long did you work here"he says "I would never work for those ######## in a million years.I say"How do you know how bad it is'.He says"well,I hear people talking about them all the time so they must be bad to work for".People can be so stupid sometimes it makes my head spin.

Now I will admit, this was a good week,I average about 1100.00 per check, but 1402.00 in the worst part of the year,I am not complaining at all in this economy.

My reference comes from the fact that I regularly blow by them in my little 65mph day cab pulling my wiggle wagons. I may be off a bit in the 58mph reference, but I'll bet they're not goin' much over 62. A far cry from my long haul days when Prime trucks were all left lane dwellers.
    Prime wash out? Hardly.
