Sure it will. It will make drivers get fewer miles, which makes them more money because they are now on eLogs. Because it takes longer, freight will pay less and everyone loses.

It died a few years ago. I miss it. There wasn't even a funeral.

What is the pretend reason behind wanting to do this? Slower trucks make for safer roads? Have they paid attention to 4-wheelers?

    bzinger and KB3MMX Thank this.

Funny, I just got into Canada and I stop counting the turtle race I encountered. For those who don't get it, it's like prime doing 58mph and jb hunt doing 61mph, but there're everywhere trying to pass one another.

    bzinger and KB3MMX Thank this.

I can see some dangerous traffic being created from this. Particularly in major urban areas where many mega drivers flourish.

If the congestion from bunched up/corralled trucks doesnt create a mess. The endless fender benders and wrecks from 4 wheelers dodging in and out of them will.

I do not see this boding very well for anyone.

How about the carnage that will happen on 2 lane highways with passing zones few and far between. Cars and mister I got a half mile an hr faster trk I can pass. And cars start passing on right shoulder ect. It is going to get bad.

driverdriver, bzinger and KB3MMX Thank this.
