So I thought I would give you guys an update... I purchased my first truck. 2012 Volvo 670. Yes it's an ishift (and I don't care). It's going to be plated soon and then... I am officially a lease operator. No longer company driver.

I did NOT purchase from the carrier. Purchased from a local dealership and had them safety the truck (inspection done).

Now let's see how it goes...

Good luck. Keep an eye on injectors and cups, that's what goes bad on d13. If you notice some weird shaking, vibration and loss of power that's probably what's wrong.

    1Diesel Thanks this.

The new ishift system is damnear perfect smarter and faster than human mind. Only problem I see with that is not having a shifter to rest your arm on. Haha but other than that post pics not Just a blank page :(. And good luck on your new journey

I did hear from one o/o that his Volvo ishift decided to go reverse when in drive gear. Crazy.

So other than the usual safety equipment, tools, engine oil, fluids and stuff... what else do you guys keep in the truck?

Few guys had said to buy a monoxide detector.

How long are you going to be on the road for at a time ?

I'm out 10-12 days from start to shutdown at home .but you said most of it yourself. I carry a lot of tools you can never have enough tools even when you have enough you are always missing one lol. But a manual how to adjust brakes if you don't know how, some quick connect air hose fittings, air hoses, glad hands, bulbs, zip ties, duct tape, machete, and lube so the dot don't hurt you too bad. They hate o/os
