Anyone ever stretched the frame out and put a bunk back on? My 379 is about 205 wheelbase, and has the unibilt brackets on the cab. I assume the axles were re bolted to the frame and the rear frame was chopped off. Seems like a nice 36in bunk is $5k, and a frame stretch job is $3-4? I have one driveshaft out of the tyranny now, Does a carrier bearing for a long driveshaft bolt to a frame x-member?

Anyone have experience with costs of stretching a 379? I'm thinking somewhere between 36-48 inches. Costs can be offset by not paying a daycare and bringing the kid to work all summer lol

Yes u will need a carrier bearing it just mounts to one of the cross members if ur thanking 300" or more I'd put two in it that's just my opinion
I'm sure there's some one here that goes by book and knows way more than I will ever know
Iv only done a hand full
I just stretched mine to 316" it has 2

By look at the pic of ur dash the mounting hard ware won't work cause the 2013 cabs are higher off the frame
But any ways it's just a few brackets different and I got a few trucks Iv knocked in the head that the brackets are like u need if u was to won't one
    See ya

    Gambino1994 Thanks this.

Yea you would have a 388 or 389 which is a different truck altogether. I'm pretty sure they won't fit my 379. White, 36inch for that price sure got me excited though. It sure seems like a 36inch for a 378/379 is a hot item.

I would stretch it to 248in wheelbase or so if I did.
