Bought a set of Firestone 591 steers in June. Passenger side still has 12/32 and driver side was down to 7/32. Also had a flat spot about 4 inches long on inside and outside edge. I'm assuming that was a broken belt but I am wondering why one tire would wear so much quicker than the other of the same age. Any thoughts?
Question for tire guys

Quality control?
Guess youd feel any vibration,at the wheel, before seeing it on the tire?
I hate buying expensive rubber,then get a flat,blowout,or crazy wear..but it always happens. -

Wheel alignment? Shock absorbers? Brake pressures/cans/adjusters? There is a solution, but it might be elusive.

I'm running those tires and they are fine.
I would get a alignment done. might be a toe issue but could be worn kingpin.
I had my steers go like that and what had happened was my brake shoe spring went and wasn't pulling the brake back all the way and the tire was skidding.Starboyjim Thanks this.
