Hello Friends:
I am from India. I am told Canada has a shortage of truck drivers, especially in the Northern provinces. Would companies apply for work permits on behalf of an Indian trying to move to Canada as a truck driver? I have some trucking experience as an owner of two trucks here in India between 2013 and 2015, and a current valid transport license to drive trucks in India.
Thank you for your help in advance.

There is no driver shortage. But there is a shortage of companies who's pay is decent. May I suggest fast food or convenience stores. Pay is the same with much less expense.

North north north canada? Since you are from india....have you ever dealt with snow and ice? Hell I drive thru snow and blizzard but going that far north would be an experience I haven't dealt with here.

Is there no more trucking in India. We already have too many new Canadians who drive on the wrong side of the yellow line when it's snowing
