Questions for TMC Drivers

whats the runs with tmc if you live in old fort nc?

 

Inverters,
379 you will need to buy one through tmc for like 150 or so. yes they allow microwaves and anything else not permanently installed.
579 (the new trucks) have built in inverters

radio,
379 some have built in sat and input, the older ones just have cd player. (no tape deck or input)
579...have the works

i made 64k my first year

home time
i think the max they let you home for is a week-end, but you can always bargen with you fm. for xmas you can take a week off if you stay out for 3. Same for 4th of july.

i fyou work hard and make tmc money they wont have a problem with additional home time. If your a slaker they will want you working to make mup for low productivity. you will get higher payign freght staying ouy.

 

I havent heard about the week off at 4th of July. When did they start that?

 

This past summer it was "beta".

 

Kenny I took home $52,500 year one, my gross was $73,000. I had been driving for 3 months when I started.

 

That was big $$$ back in 1992. Not to shabby in todays $$$ either.

 

Does anyone know if the new drivers are getting 379s or 579s?

I've been there a year, started with a 379, like the looks but that truck was a POS. I am driving a 388 now. Spoke with another driver today, 2 months with TMC and he's already in a 579. There are a lot of new guys in 579's, it doesn't make sense to me.
