Does anyone know where I can find one for a decent price, volvo charges between 70 and 100 bucks for one.

Thanks for the link, but it's still the same price as volvo

I can use a 1 1/4 socket and take plug off to drain it or if ure working on top part of engine cab coolant lines drain pretty well

Ueah I could just remove it I guess, rad hoses are messy and I'd loose alot of coolant. I wonder if I could remove the factory coupler and install something else

When I'm working on a Mack/Volvo I just wedge a pocket screw driver in there to hold valve open. Works great and I've never had one leak afterwards. Save your money -
I guess that works if you have a drain pan that's low enough that holds 40L of coolant,

50 gallon drum cut along the bottom line and it works like a charm

I use 3 feet long old garden hose. About two inches from the end of hose slide phillips screwdriver inside the hose. Put this end of the hose over drain valve and push the valve ball with screwdriver. Don't forget to put the other end of the hose in bucket. I like to use plastic container from Wal-Mart with lid. To fill cooling system use cheap submersible pump from same store.
4play Thanks this.
