IRRC, and i usually do recall stuff well, Francis recommended 18 feet first for their pretumed antennas. I have no idea why Firestick did that, too, and Wilson had a tunable system, note the past tense 'had', that also utilized a half wave length of coax for a CB, again IIRC.

different cables have different velocities -

18 feet is about 1/2 free space wavelength @ 11 meters.
Rg58 @ .66 the speed of light would be 11.95 feet for 1/2 electrical wavelengthLast edited: May 24, 2016

@rabbiporkchop wasn't that link you sent me for a 504? I could have swore that's what it said when I first read it. But I just went back and looked at the order confirmation... nope... says 502.
Ah well, I guess I'll play with it for a while to maybe learn what I really need. Probably overpaid for the dang thing too, lol. -
The Mainframe had a 5:02 which pulls right out in the 504 can plug right in
lilillill Thanks this. -
That Mainframe is pretty cool all the components are modular and slide in and out for easy replacement
lilillill Thanks this. -
I'll get back to you with the part number for a killer Spectrum analyzer that slides right into the unit
lilillill Thanks this.
