    Well its not that bad for those of us who get paid by the mile. Longer adjusted routes for the same load. Nothing like adding on 200 extra miles to detour around a winter storm and who knows when this bridge will be fixed.

    Not really. Many drivers will run west on I-8 to El Centro then take CA86 up to Indio, so they will pass the T/A as they go. There may be a slight reduction of traffic, but not severe.

    Caltrans says it will be open, one lane in eaxh direction, by noon Friday.
