I agree with what polecrusher said. Anyone can hide their bad habits for a day. Yet those who stay safe are inconvenienced. Maybe it's fine for the first year or 2 but after a while it seems to just be a waste of time. I'm alright with drivers with continuous emergency events or at fault incidents having to be evaluated every once in a while.

FYI, I'm also not a fan of cbts. I don't need to continuously be reminded on how to drive for every season of the year. The $20 or so bucks for doing them isn't so bad though.

    I think it's a waste of time.
Driving safe all year with nothing to report speaks for itself.
But that's not good enough..I have to drive with a trainer to critique everything I'm doing.
A trainer who spends his/her day dealing with unexperienced drivers then wants to treat you the same.
Once you qualify you should be gold..unless you have a ton of critical events then yes you should be tested.

    Like they say:
    Those who can't do..teach.

Lucky it's only once a year.

I think it's kinda of waste of time but agree it does keep u on ur toes, I ask them if anybody fail and they said yes, so still weeding out the bad and keepin the drivers who know what they r doing

I wouldn't mind it as much if they paid for the recert like they pay for the CBTs. But I guess that would be too considerate toward the drivers...

If 200 plus days a year of safe driving when there's no one watching isnt proof enough of a drivers ability then how is 2 hours a true measure of one's ability.

    Answer.

It isn't it's just a way that SNI I can claim annual training and have an out in any potential suit.

Just completed my annual training. There was a bunch of reading all the policies more than anything else. Tennman is spot on. It's Schneider way of covering themselves. I still didn't do the hook/unhook how they wanted but it was my own fault. I should have just read off the sheet.
