Hi guys, please some help if u have any idea, I have 2009 volvo with D13 engine 485 HP. the problem I'm having now is while I'm driving on Hwy speed it starts doing the Regen but after 3 minutes it disconnect and it tries to do Regen again after around 20 minutes later but it disconnect again and it ask for parked regen. I noticed while driving and when the Regen happen my Pyro meter doesn't go above 5, any idea of whats responsible for heat while regen ? I changed DVR valve and 7th injector also installed updated ventury tube and did software update but still have same problem , dealer doesn't know what's wrong with it .

Have you baked the filter? That's what it sounds like it needs. Although by now you may need a new one.

    Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Need to check if egr is open and make sure turbo is boosting properly need to put it in a forced regen and check all temps also what is going on with boost and 7th injector. This will be a start but it's an 09 should be relatively simple without def. to worry about

When I do parked regen it does it properly, and I don't have any codes in the dash, what I discover only while driving the exhaust temperature it doesn't get hot enough to complete proper Regen

We had the same thing in the winter the temps get to cold outside to do a regen had to park regen. But this was usually around zero outside temp.

The Volvo dealer here in Phoenix recommends do a DPF service ( baking) every 170 to 180K miles as PM.
