Roadmaster Dunn NC collection scam

a year ago, I started at RM. I went in with my permit.

I paid for the physical out of pocket. Everyone has to. They won't finance the physical, for obvious reasons.

Three days in and the finance lady calls me in to go over the terms of the loan. 22% interest.

My credit is great. I said no thanks and went home, found another school and paid cash.

Yesterday, about a year later, a collection agency calls me to collect $250 for my permit. What? They say I owe RM $250 for my permit. But I paid the DMV for my permit, I said. Fax the receipt, they said.

I told her to file papers and I'd show up at the hearing.

Pretty shifty way to do business Roadmaster.

 

Yup. $7500 financed at 22%= about $12,000 for a CDL
