Drove all night last night through NM to Flagstaff. Had some pretty good thunderstorms through there. I was super tired and our windshield defroster wouldn't work briefly. Couldn't see ####. It was raining super hard. I was going over hills. Slowed WAY down. Put on emergency flashers.

Not too much of a man to admit that I was scared for about 2 minutes until the defroster kicked on again! Shaking a little. Decided to call it a night. I only had an hour and a half left on my 11 anyway.

That's the first time I've been scared out here since I've been at Prime.

I think a little fear is healthy! I dont know how many times I switched from Max AC to defrost and got the crap scared outta me when the windshield instantly fogged up solid. Its good to run a little room temp air through them vents before cranking the defrosters, but I still forget every now and then.

Scaring yourself is part of the gig. Happens to everyone... some more than others. It just lets you know that no matter how many miles you have on the road you can't control every situation. The important thing here is it sounds like you managed to keep the shiny side up and didn't hurt anyone. I'd call it a win.

Fear is good to some extent.

Without fear, you'd most likely be dead by now..........

Same here. I love the challenge of driving through a blizzard in the middle of the night.

Nothing wrong with a bit of fear. Tends to keep us from doing stupid crap.
