Closing on 100k on my Cascadia with DT12, no issues at all, knock on wood!

Haha, you're lucky. My current tractor only gets stuck a few times a year. The last one I had got stuck in gear in an intersection in some little town in Illinois and blocked traffic for 45 minutes, had to be towed, when it got to freightliner it had reset itself. For the most part it works good, still there are those times I'd love to have a manual again just to feel the power of the choked down Detroit. Or better yet a Cummins

I wish I was as cool as you.......

160k plus? How on earth do you do it?

    Maybe one day......

An Allison 4700 rds is an automatic with an unlimited weight rating. Put it in a Western Star 6900 and it will scoff at 160k. It's not even working until you get to about 300k. Just FYI, for the 18 spd rating comment.

I have had two automatics and gone 280K miles in them. Both DT12 transmissions. Never had an issue with getting stuck in gear. Doesn't pull hills real good but other than that I like them.

It's most likely because the rear end gears are to tall, like 2.47's.

SWIFT is supposedly starting to test new INTERNATIONAL PROSTARS with a new version of a Cummins engine / Eaton Automatics combination so SNI will likely be testing some as well

    Lightside Thanks this.
