I still wanna see it chain up and go over a mountain pass. I just wanna see it go over a pass period, without incident.
Can you just imagine all the slimy twinkle toed #### suckers that work in dispatch hoping for these in the bottom of their hearts?zx150, OLDSKOOLERnWV, Cottonmouth85 and 2 others Thank this. -

Those tire chains are CRAP.
Those computer trucks are going to fall down and fail in a bad way because they need a human to fix em, recover them, fuel them, paperwork them, unload them etc etc etc
How do I know chains are crap? Anyone watching highway to hell will see both drives fully chained spin on ice.truckthatpassesyouby Thanks this. -

This lidar tech is not new and has been used for ages in quarries, hopefully all this political push will get these trucks running highway by 2020.
Make no mistake there will be butts in seats for as long as we are all alive, maybe 2050's a real push for say one driver to every 50 trucks working a lane but for now all this means is 30-50k upgrade to your Volvo so you can get a bowl of cornflakes while cruising down the highway.
I for one will outfit myself with one to crush highway miles while driving in rain/snow. It cant fuel itself or do any off-highway work, or checking the load. Any flatbedders have nothing to worry about. -
Cottonmouth85 Thanks this.
