Why is it that the people that set up the signs for a small construction zone on two lane roads, always put up the warning signs and speed limited changes on the down side of a hill. It works out that as you crest the hill I actually see the work going on before I see the signs and the stopped traffic.

Because it would require extra effort to walk the extra distance to put those signs where they would be helpful.
Why doesnt anyone seem to want to do their job the right way these days. Its everywhere.

No, no, no, because then I'd have to stop, and there would be guilt by association, or someone else would run into it, and blame me for that too.

I think it's about time for a new spin on an old saying. Whatever tows around slows around.

Unless you're a dick and press every button before getting off the elevator! :D

...not that...I've done that before... Cause you know...that's just mean.

...and slightly funny in an immature way. ;)

So this morning near the train tracks, it's just me pulling up and the lights start to flash, so I'm considering the HM regs and stopping around 25ft back, not that I had it onboard, but just as well. Then a car pulls up 25ft ahead in the next lane, to the line, while the train is flying by. Strikes me as senseless, both for the line being painted a couple feet from the tracks, and the vehicle volunteering to be nailed if the train derailed. I suppose that's why the HM regs have us stop back a ways from the track. I'll probably go for 50ft next time.

You'll probably have a 4-wheeler or two pull in front of you at 50ft.

Drat! No, that's okay. It was just me and the one other vehicle today, besides I might have to faint if someone took a cue from me and stopped at a safe distance, or did anything safely based on my collective consciousness, of one.
