I have a freightliner cascadia. Looking to upgrade my CB to something with a little more amp to it. Was wondering what you think is the best Set up as far as radio, antenna, coax and everything. I want the most I can get out of it. Loud and clear and great ears! Thanks

Start with attenna, go to page 4 read all the posts on Cascadia Attenna Solutions, that would be a good place to start.

My setup (not the best or the worse) is using the Wilson bracket (sold in every truck stop) that attaches to mirror arm base (on driver side) 18ft Wilson coax(sold in every truck stop) a Wilson gum drop attenna mount and a Siro Twin Log 5ft fiberglass Attenna. The radio is a Uniden Bearcat 980 stock OTB, no mods no peak and tweak, SWR is 1.2 and average range for Tx and Rx is generally 8 to 10 miles, hope this gets you started.
