    Brand new Schneider driver here and was wondering how reliable Jill is and whether it would be a wise idea to pick up a over the counter GPS and if so which brand name should I go for

    I use both but jill will route you on the back roads. shorter miles but takes longer.

    I use Rand McNally GPS and Jill Jill is designed or programmed to take shortest route which is not always the fastest.

    She'll send you some very weird ways sometimes.

    I got by with an atlas and common sense plus Jill, but definitely go with a Rand McNally if you want a GPS.
