I know a hotshotter doing very well in your area . I posted a picture of his truck in the "Money making hotshotter" thread in the Expediter forum . Things have slowed for him like everybody else . He's doing very well rather than exceptionally well like he was last year . You might do better with a stepdeck rather than a flatbed .
Simple Question, is it worth it?

I say yes. If you have what it takes. If you like having some control of your own destiny in life,I say yes.I bought my first truck at 23 and would'nt change a thing. But I will say it's harder for someone who has always had someone else make the decisions to now be the one making the decisions. Some people cant handle responsibility. And that's the bottom line.

In my opinion, buying new would be a huge mistake for you. There are so many good slightly used trucks available right now with the initial big depreciation already taken down. A brand new truck has about a year of time to get the bugs worked out. There are still lots of visits to the dealer, even if they are warranty items, they represent down time. A good used truck will turn you more inpocket profit.
allnite Thanks this. -
