the rpms drop below 5 it almost wants to shut off the the rpm goes up to 7 but at that time it spitts white smoke out of the exhaust. i have just changed the fuel filter two weeks ago and don't know what it might cause that.

I had water in my fuel and mine blew white smoke and idled rough. Put 911 and a new fuel filter in and that solved it.

I would treat your fuel with 911 then drive for an hour or so then change the fuel filters. If you have a Davco filter go outside and drain some into a cup and see if you see any water.
When it happened to me I was blowing a lot of white smoke. Some guy drove by me in a crusty voice and told me the same thing and disappeared into the night.
911 doesn't get rid of water. It breaks it up into very tiny water bubbles so it can pass through without it causing anymore problems. -
EGR cooler. About 1500$ to replace.
flood Thanks this. -
Maybe it's come loose.
Wrong filter etc.etc
