Here I was rollin down I74 out of Indy this afternoon for a drop in Cinny, traffic is light and I can see no cars in front of me for an 1/8 mile or so.

Something red catches my eye up ahead on the fog line, it was small, maybe a rag, or a towel? As I get closer I see it moving, so a quick check in my drivers side view shows a car coming up pretty quickly, split speed limit you know.

I am not one to wreck a truck or anyone else over an animal, but I also will go out of my way to miss one, So I am slowing a bit and it looks like a Squirrel, bright red, he is eating something right on the rumble strip, I figure as I get closer he will run, but I scoot over to the zipper a bit anyway leaving about two feet between my trailer and the line.

I'm just about there and he stands straight up, as I go by the wind from my rig knocks him back a bit, but then he rights himself ad goes back to eating his dinner.

Because of this encounter I have determined that this is so new breed of Ground Squirell, not because of his red color, but I figure any Squirell with balls that big ain't climbing any trees!

So if you are rollin down I74 south about the 128 give that little guy some room or he might just start nawwing on your tire.​
