If the company is so bad and so awful and they are just screwing you up one side and down the other, why are you still there??????You do understand that they are not the only company out there?
BTW, I NEVER got paid for a holiday while I was OTR, I dont know any that pay for holidays(there might be a few, I havent ran into them though)Unless of course, you work the holiday. The only way that you are gonna get paid for a holiday unless you wok it, in this industry is go local or LTL. Most of the OTR companies will get you home on the major holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, ect. if you want to be home, but like I said, I never seen any offering to pay for them.

I have been with star transport for 4 years, yes you do have up and down weeks but over all. you do your job deliver on time. they are not a bad place to work for. as far has cat loads yes it is about 50% of what we haul but we have a ton of pactiv,,internation paper,,gp paper,,pepsi,, and the list goes on..so the star guys and girl that have had problems with star [the red one] must have been late for their loads,,tearing trucks up or other equipment,,or just have bad additudes,,or the best reason cant get away from the buffet tables ..
-
1. I've not been late on any load that wasn't already late when dispatch sent it to me.
2. havn't had an accident, ticket or damanged my truck,
3. speak for yourself on the buffet tables since you don't know me
4. as for the attitude, my last month miles goes like this 0, yes zero miles this week, 700 last week, 2580 the week before running 7 days, 2200 running 7 days, 1900 running 7 days. i got a qualcom message that stated my truck was idling for 6 hours, which it was since it was - 5 outside. hard to keep a good attitude when you drive for 10 hours, deliver and are given another load that is already late to pick up, be driven 500 miles and you only have 12 hours to not be late on your delivery. Or how about sitting at the yard for 23 hours 45 minuets waiting for a load and talking to guys getting their truck that day and they have loads waiting for them. then being denied layover pay cause i was 15 minuets short of 24 hours. or maybe getting letters that i'm being written up for log book stuff and then going in and they can't find a single reason as to why i should be writtne up, once they tried to write me up until i pointed out that the logs they were looking at weren't mine. or maybe my attitude comes from trying to deliver a load in Ga on a Friday night only to be told by the consignee that they didn't order it, wouldn't take it, and didn't know anything aobut it. then having to sit until Monday evening before I could drop the load 100 miles away and not being paid to drive the extra 100 miles? Or maybe the attitude comes from guys like you who thnk they know everything and have every answer. -
taslier, #### you have had a bad exp., with that co. you need to re-locate, there are a lot of companies out there who would appriciate, you far better than star, i have spoken to a lot of drivers at star who are in the same position as you, some went to crete and love it you should call them or another co., get away from that bad enviorment, good luck, life is to short to drive for a rotten co.
