Start next week with Werner. Got hired on to drive the I-5 corridor on some dedicated lane account but they haven't told me what sort of account and whether it's drop and hook or unload? Any Werner drivers out there know what it might be? I would rather switch to 11 western then do unloading myself.
The route is something like this. Seattle - Portland - Sacramento - LA and back again.
Starting Werner Orientation next week. Question on dedicated lane.

If they won't tell you it's probaly a dollar general type account. That or they are going to pull a bait and switch on you after orientation - "hey, no open spots anymore. But OTR is available. Or you can go home"
Boston_Tankers_Girl, X-Country, Cali kid and 1 other person Thank this. -
The first recruiter brought up this dedicated lane but they had to pass me over to my actual recruiter (I had been in touch with them before) and they only mentioned 11 western or 48. I told them I was originally interested because the other recruiter mentioned this dedicated lane thing. Was put on hold and they came back saying it is available to me. So I said that would be great.
Just want to make sure I don't have to unload a whole trailer. lolLast edited: Aug 26, 2015

Just got an email. Was told it's all drop and hook and not a dedicated account. I must have got it mixed up. Think they never really mentioned it was dedicated actually. Just assumed. Anyways I will keep you all updated how it goes. Thanks.

Hopefully will find out next week what the actual route is. Otherwise I might bump it over to Western 11.

Well I might switch over to 11 western. More pay and the same time out.
This account I chose pays only 25-28cpm because it's just around 3 states.
