Just curious, how common if at all are aftermarket stereos in ? I figure, being out on that road often,it be one of the first things you'd do.

Not that common on the company driver side I wouldn't think.
I always installed and enjoyed them in my trucks though.

It doesn't get much better than the Sony MEX 100bt as far as budget goes. You hook up a power wire straight from the head unit to one of your batteries and you have more than twice the power than your typical stock stereo. It has a built in amp and is around $160.

Oh dear. More of the "sound enthusiasts" who wake up the entire truck stop for 2 hours as they "unwind". Be sure to do a good pre-trip before you head out. That's my free advice for the week.

    Lol,
I honestly didn't know it was a thing. I have never seen one in person, atleast a non show truck. I think if it was possible, a nice theatre/stereo system would be a good investment for sanity alone.

Not everyone who puts aftermarket stereo equipment in vehicles is ignorant. I understand where you're coming from though...

Trucks [running down the road] are not very supportive of high-end sound systems IMO. I appreciate quality sound system as much as the next guy but to me, not sure it's worth spending a lot of money upgrading unless you plan on using it a lot while parked.

When I was in the truck more than home I had my TV audio running through my truck audio. It was no high end setup but the subwoofers made movie night better.
