My '99 W9 with N14 redhead and 13-speed. I've had it almost a year now and loving it more every day. It's so simple to work on. Everything easy to get to. Very dependable.

Avg 6.25 at 84000 drive too fast and plenty of dfw traffic. No issue I haven't been able to handle in the driveway the last 170k.

    I think 99 was still a 3406E 6nz wasn't until 2000.

6nz came out in 99 which makes it a 2000 if you want a 99 truck to avoid elog yes you have to put a 3406 or older motor 6nz from what I understand was the first of the sensor control that can adapt elog

    Have a 2000 Volvo 610 with a N14 500 13spd 3.58 rears, mpg's ain't great. It's parked for now until I can figure out what's drawing down the batteries.

This is not correct. The elog ruling goes by the model year of the truck not the engine. It goes by the vin#. So you can put newer engines in older models 99 and before and still avoid elogs.

    bayoustate and spax Thank this.
