Don't recall if I've ever been up that way.

T/A says only 70 spots and no restaurants (other than the Country Pride) is it a no-man's land? Should I eat before I get there? Is it hard to get a space in the afternoon?

I've got a whole day to play with, so my schedule's flexible.

TA is exit 144, flying j is 151. Both fairly suck for amenities though. The TA does have a cracker barrel near though. Since you have the whole day, and if either will let you I'd see about dropping the trailer and bobtail up 675 to Tittabawassee (west of the e-way) where there are probably 100 places to eat. Fast food, sit-down, whatever. Neat little mini-Cabellas there too.

    Well that was fun.

    EDIT: Spoilsport.

I still can't belive a truck forum has tighter censorship than a toy forum.

The image was a famous German airplane make, and a matching hand gesture we're all familar with.

That part of it is ok. Nothing to be worried about near the T/A.

Always interesting to be a paid tourist.

Saginaw was once a vibrant city, now many of the houses look about ready to fall down.

Income & wages haven't kept up with inflation regardless of what the burocrats say.

Giuliani called it the "broken window syndrome"? I call it the "we use K-mart bedsheets for curtains because we can't afford to replace the cheap and broken venetian blinds." Factor.

If you can't afford curtains, how are you going to repair that sagging porch?

    Just sad.

With a 38 you will be very out gunned in the Saginaw area, there is at least one shooting every day. Usually more than one.

Yeah I parked there overnight once and have stopped there many times, I've never been concerned...

Mosy on into town though and the picture is completely different. Of course I live 5 minutes from East St. Louis so I've seen worse...
