I always thought the company trucks were white and the l/o's were other colours.

If so, it seems there have been a lot of crashes lately by people who more at stake than the average company driver.

Another case of taking a small mistake and making it worse. Thankfully no fatality.

You guys ever see trucks with multiple GPS screens, cellphones, and video cameras on the windows? Talk about obstruction & distraction. Yikes.

This is my weekend, and I'm not even gonna get started on SWIFT.
Actually gonna throw out the devil's advocate, and ask what are the chances teenage girl is flying down the road, late for work, cell phone in hand, texting?

FerrissWheel, DUNE-T, Badmon and 2 others Thank this.

hmm, not sure what to make of that. Truck driver pulls in front of 4 wheeler when 4 wheeler had the right of way. Let's see how we can put the blame on the young lady. Really?

This was a company driver ; the company trucks are various colors, have the snail trail on the side and Swift signage on the door.

    FerrissWheel and tinytim Thank this.

Eh, I don't think Dave was trying to place blame but he brings up a valid point. How many people go by you on the highway with their phone in hand actively texting, email, facebook and etc? And it's not just young people. I almost waxed grandpa last year because he pulled out in front of me without even looking - he was staring at his phone.

It's a sticky subject around here for some reason, but I can't help but wonder if collision avoidance technology may have lessened the severity, or avoided a wreck entirely, in this situation.

To be clear; this one is on Swift, no question.

    FerrissWheel and Lepton1 Thank this.

You have lost SWIFT driver in an unfamiliar place, hence he is lost. 99.99% of teenage girls have their cell phones surgically attached to their hands.
How could this situation result in anything but an accident?
99.99% of all women from what I've seen have their cell phones surgically attached to their hands.
You won't find me defending SWIFT trucking. There stock is worth $15 share, JB Hunts is worth $85, gosh I cannot imagine why.

    FerrissWheel Thanks this.
