Need to vent here.
I'm at the T/A in Lodi, OH. 4-1/2 hours to get a drive tire fixed.
Had slow leak in drive, today had some time, so good time to take care of it right?
The kid that ruined my tire ( oops the inner liner tore) was green as could be, and all thumbs. And scrawny.
So had to buy used drive tire $240.
In a separate issue some skateboard driver obliterated this dudes front end backing into a spot. At another T/A in North Canton, some Iranian trully OBLITERATED the front of this dudes new Volvo pulling out against the grain to save 1 minute circling around the lot. And he was gonna drive off too, but the guy caught him.

Just be grateful you didn't get hit. Wow.
Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
TA truck stops buffet seems to be a little different, like they are independently owned. like the 111 mile marker on interstate 75 north of interstate 70 in ohio

That TA in North Canton is a pisshole, hated even pulling in there to scale when I used to pick up in Canton. Restaurant is awful as well. And I don't get why the one in Lodi is so highly thought of, that restaurant equally sucks and everything else is nothing special at all
BostonTanker and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -

OK. There's a guy here at the Petro in Nashville that spent TWO AND A HALF days in that shop at the TA in Lodi, three attempts to get his trailer fixed, and now he's here getting it fixed.
I saw him in the shop, and thought that can't be the same guy, BUT IT IS!!!!!!!! -
FWIW, and sort of on topic.
I noticed a new TA in Hillsboro, TX just south of the split. Looks like an interesting new design concept and has lot's of parking. It's a more "efficient" design then the usual old TA's. Glad to see TA building new truck stops. I did not stop in but looks like a nice truck stop, for now. -
How did the kid ruin your tire?
-
He couldn't get the tire off the rim.
He couldn't seat the bead on the new tire.
He put the rim on backwards and couldn't get it back off.
There'sno doubt in my mind that he pressed too hard and too long with buffer on the inner liner prepping it for patch, and it ripped. -
