Is it noted on the BOL or less than a 1000lbs ?
Was the packaging that said corrosive a placard? Was there a UN number ? May not have been a HazMat load.

if your an owner operator, do you get paid back lumper fees by the company? or do you have to eat those?
shouldn't those be built into what the company gets paid for the load?

 

The Coke in Northampton Mass has always been good to me. Can't arrive more than an hour before appt time but they have me loaded in 30 minutes every time. Friendly people too.

 

Fry's food DC out in AZ 8hrs to unload 8 pallets and then lumper fee

My worst is a shipper in Lumber Bridge NC, Mountaire Farms. It's a nasty chicken plant with rude miserable people who work there and 3 hours was the quickest they ever got me out and the longest was 2 days when they had a break down. Average is 5 or 6 hours and been there 10 lots of times.

 

Did that used to be House of Raeford out of Raeford NC or is that a separate plant?

 

No it's close to Raeford but not the same. Mountaire has been in business over a hundred years unfortunately

 

Oh okay, now that I think about it I think I remember seeing Mountaire around when I used to go to Raeford.
