And they want to lower the driving age to 18, just imagine the carnage that will follow

I've always hated I-81 with a passion, especially the part running up the back side of VA. How can such a boring, unremarkable stretch of interstate have so many accidents?

Dna Mach and ipogsd Thank this.

There must be something in the water along that stretch i81 between Virginia and Scranton PA that turns drivers' brains to mush.

    Grouch and ipogsd Thank this.

This stretch is a convergence of routes that connect the Southwest, much of the Plains, the South, and much of the Southeast with the NJ/NY/MA areas. So you get more of the idiots from all over the nation converging between Knoxville and Harrisburg. And especially between Carlisle and the 81/78 split. But this is not as dangerous as I-78, between the 81 split and Allentown.

A lot of drivers from the west/south will run the "southern route" (I-81) to avoid the PA turnpike, and sometimes winter Wx

The driver who stopped was wrong for stopping but the ups driver was obviously following too closely like they and fedex always do...i drive 81 a lot and these guys all think they are nascar drivers only feet off the rear of the guy in front of him.....

Just another incident that enforces my policy that I will never never never run a team. There is not a driver in the world good enough for me to be in the sleeper and him driving. Not to say that could not happen to me but if if were to happen it would be on me not someone else.

    Dna Mach Thanks this.
