    Unless the driver is blind how can you not tell that's a bike lane?

    That got me laughing pretty well.
    A very 'Well duh!' statement.

    My best advice - as much following distance as you can, obey the speed limit, and look as far ahead as you can leaving following distance so you can do both that (look) and react.

    Quit rushing. No point. We're all dead someday. It doesn't have to be today. Hell.

    It seems that when "rights" vs "common sense" collide, "rights" always wins. Until it loses. When your dead, it doesn't matter one tiny little bit what your "rights" were.

    Too many bicycle/pedestrian accidents. These happen, they just aren't significant enough to catch the eye of the media.

    I will always try to give right of way to a bicycle, no matter how stupid, arrogant or ignorant the bicyclist is. HOWEVER, If I see that yielding to the bike is going to make ME the victim of a head on, well......
