Glad I dont drive in Utah anymore. Its sad because you know during that time at least one UHP rolled passed and did nothing. Driver fault or not RIP Driver

With so many wrecks these days seeing tracks off the interstate are so common that it did not occur to any to look UHP probably just assumed it was from an old wreck.
it's truly sad must have been an O/O or small carrier. Most know when and where the trucks are at all times or at least last spot log had power. If I lose power to it or they see not moving when I should be more then a couple hours I get a call.

The system in my truck sends out a continuos "ping" if it detects a disabling event on the tractor or if it has a stability event and then quits moving. If this happens a message pops up alerting safety and dispatch of the accident. I dont like all the tracking now adays but this is one of the bright side to it.

Sounds like a Hirschbach ProStar and I agree with both of you.

@tsavory thats why Iowa does the orange tape for wrecked and/or disabled vehicles

According to the report cops found illegal substances in the rig. I guess you can take a wild guess, seeing the driver was from Colorado.
It was sheer luck for his body to have been found.
    Very sad.
