Just did a clutch on my 2010 t800 with Cummins isx600. Like I always do I put the clutch on the transmission input shaft and slid the trans and engine together. I find it easier to line up than bolting it to flywheel. I usually then go thru the inspection hole and put the bolts in while someone spins the engine. On the rest of our trucks with CATs we can spin them off the harmonic balancer very easily. This Cummins has no good way to get onto the balancer to turn the engine. The only cover I see to get to the flywheel is on the passenger side and seems to be too far toward the center of the engine to get at the flywheel teeth. What is the proper way to roll this engine over by hand?

Most (maybe all) ISX can be barred over really easily with a 3/4" adapter in the water pump. May have to move the oil fill tube and a couple hoses........

Anytime. It's not real obvious..........but once you know it's there.....no brainer. Use it to adjust overheads, etc. Good luck.

Remove oil fill tube. 3/4" drive ratchet or breaker bar.

Was behind the oil fill neck on this motor. Thanks!
