    rail is when you pick up a load in say chicago going to say la (good run) but you dont run it you take it to the RAIL yard and it goes by trail. then a driver in la picks it up at the rail yard and delivers it

    You will not get a Volvo. They have almost all been pulled. We have mostly Freightliners, Peterbuilts and Internationals. You do not have to pay for DEF, if you have a newer truck that requires it, it is charged to your fuel card.

    Ok dumb question, what is this DEF why do you need it and what is it for. I am thinking a fuel additive, but can you explain?

    DEF= Diesel Exhaust Fluid

    DEF is a urea-based chemical reactant designed specifically for use in SCR systems to reduce NOx emissions

    DEF stands for Diesel Exhaust Fluid and it goes in 2011 and newer trucks. There is a seperate 20 gallon tank and it is injected into the exhaust. It is a pain in the a55 and something else to break on the truck. At least a lot of truck stops have DEF pumps now (or are installing them) Hauling jugs was really a pain.

    I thought that the Clean Air Filter for Diesel that Corning Inc was putting out took care of this???

    Thank you

    starting in 2008-2007 all new trucks started using DPF "Diesel Particulate Filters" with regen systems then in 2011 they ADDED DEF to them so all new trucks have both

    Haulling those DEF jugs is still a pain in the a55.....those pumps must not be anywhere on my routes.
