I delivered US Mail once. Very specific instructions, arrival into Springfield at 9:04 pm due with trailer dropped into a very specific spot with number.
At 9:00 that trailer was dropped, at 9:03 handed the bills to the postmaster dock who started yelling at me for the things I was told to do. Which was where the trailer needed to be in the beginning.
I don't think my company got to hauling any more of those US Mail loads and it will be the last time I deal with Mass at 110+ They can have it.

@x1Heavy
That was some odd instructions your company gave you. Unless it's a regular daily route that goes to same dock door everyday, you always check in.
Sounds like desk jockeys at both places made the decisions for the you and the expeditor. -
@x1Heavy Many times the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at these places.

I saw a couple Target trans Logistic at the Pittsburgh PDC last weekend. They look like a new startup company with new trailers and lease trucks. I will try to have a chat with the drivers next time I see them there

Interesting. Yeah see if they are doing drop ships or routes.
You heard anything about McCormick troubles? -
Just wondering how many mail haulers we have here? I know of course about mailman59.
