I am reporting this for a friend who recently worked at this place.
This company has junk equipment, especially the trailers which are rusted to the point of falling apart. Most of the doors do not seal and the tandem slides are rusted shut. None of the ones he looked at would pass a full DOT inspection at a scale or random stop.
They will run you to your max hours every day and over if you let them. You will need to take your exception at least once a week, more often if they reset it. They don't care if you run a "little over" your hours, so long as you get the dispatch done.
In the end, the company is a cash machine for the owner, who uses it to fund his race team. Don't get fooled into working for them, move on to the next company.

Thanks for the heads up morg..
.... How are they about wages?
I figure if they don't take care of the equipment, they sure won't take care of those who make the plan come together for them -
From what I hear they start you at .35 a mile. I talked with one of them at the Truck Stop yesterday, he said he is lucky to get around $140 or so for 12 hours of work. He told me the same thing as my friend did, its a cash machine for the owner, who's wife apparently does payroll from there house. They have ELogs but only because its soon to be required.

$140 for 12 hours of work??WTF??

One day of that pay and I would be out the door.

^And about a third of that will go to taxes.

Yup, I'm an owner and I like cash. I understand your 'friends' other grievances but an owner can do whatever he wants with his money, just like you can.

Yup, in America Ca$h Is King!

I use to work at Valley Transfer and was curious what is being said about them lately. I know this is an old thread, but something here needs to be corrected.
But otherwise, pretty much spot on...
