My new damper came with an additional plate. Does this plate go between the damper and pulley? What is the reason for the plate? Thanks Dan

I have seen some dampers that have a plate like that, maybe a 1/16" thick. They were directly under the bolt heads and work as a lock. I wound consult the mfg. Or use locktite, or go back as it was and use locktite, check the thicknesses. Don't want the bolts to bottom out because something is thinner.

If your taking about the ring with the bolt holes in it, it goes on last before you stick the bolts in.

Diesel Dave and bigguns Thank this.
