    Anyone shop there?
Got some great deals on clothing and mre's.
Owner thought I was looking for parking, stating we dont get many truckers here.
I suggested he visit the local ts to help some of the drivers, stuck to their trailer.

The Army Surplus Warehouse in Idaho Falls I-15 xt 113 is where I got some sweet winter under stuff. Creative people will find good use for the things sold in surplus store. Like all that rope and those trenching shovels. It's also across the street from a Loves so no need to worry about parking.

Please explain, to the rest of us that did not serve, how the MRE tastes, and how you cook it... and was there any thing else worth shopping for (I'm thinking winter gear)?
    Thanks

Wasnt ready for winter gear yet, have to ask individual stores, what deals they have.
Wardog in toledo had shorts $5.
    Insulated cover alls $5.
Bdu pants were $30, but love the adjustable waist, hate wearing belts.
Had a ton of survival gear available, but their stock changes often, need to stop in on payday, and look around.
    Havent tried the mre's yet.

MRE's are a nutritious, high caloric meal, shelf stable, and some are actually quite tasty. They were the replacement for K-rations. I never used the heater, but understand it's easy. It comes with a miniature bottle of Tabasco. Always prudent to have a few put back in your truck, especially during the winter, along with a box of high protein high carb bars and a metal container to melt snow for water over a candle.
Buffalo, NY and WY come to mind for multiple day road closures...

MRE just means Meal, Ready (to) Eat. No need to cook it although you can cook some of the entrees. I just used to eat them right out of the bag as is. What you don't want to do is eat these for several meals in a row then go flying. If you have a diarrhea problem, eating a couple of these will straighten you out real quick.

If you need to start a fire quick, the MRE comes with matches and coffee creamer. Pile up your dry sticks and moss, pour the coffee creamer on it and light it. Boom

Edit: forgot to mention, there is toilet paper in there too and the plastic could be used to help start your fire as well.
