    Good morning all,
I replaced a leaking O-ring on one of the pockets of my oil filter housing. Upon completion it was dark and I overfilled the oil in the engine. Drove out just down the road from the truck stop the oil light came on and the engine shut off. I started the truck and when I raise the engine as soon as the rpm reaches 1500 the oil light will come on and the engine will shut off. I unplugged the oil pressure sensor harness and I was able to drive it to make my delivery and still driving it. I have drained the oil out to the full level on the dip stick. I replaced the oil pressure sensor but it's doing the same thing. The truck is moving ok except I loose a little power going up a hill, and when I'm packed the engine idling a bit rough like its missing. It'll be at least a couple days before I can get to a dealer. Just wanted to see if anyone have experienced similar issue with D16 and can share what and how it was fix. Thanks a bunch in advance for any input!

Ever stop to think you screwed something up in that filter housing you were fixing in the dark.
You might just have no or hardly any oil pressure.
Unplugging the sensor and driving it sounds like a great idea. Sounds like your on the right track to ruin a good engine there bud.

My heart is telling me that plug you took out on the filter housing had a spring or plunger behind it and it fell on the ground.
It's deffinattly not from filling your oil to full that's forsure.

Swaan, thanks a lot for getting on me, I like when people are honest. I'm taking it to the shop to get it right.

Sigh a good reason why it isn't always a good idea to "do it yourself" unfortunately.
