Didn't they have a major recall in the mid 2000's for something like ball joints seperating? Good for them for getting the repairs made in a timely manner, though.

Now they just need to recall all the 2004 and up models for the super weak low beams. They fade over time and are hell to drive with at night.

    KB3MMX, Jay1978 and Eeyore05 Thank this.

We are owner operators and Volvo told us they would not pay for down time, lost wages or rentals. Towed us in Monday payed for hotel mon n tues but will not pay for anymore nights because they have a fix even though they won't get it fixed until next week.

I'm an owner op too, Volvo told me to keep my receipts and submit them to the claims dept to "see if they'll pay".

Time to go pick it up and put it back on the road with the temp patch solution they gave the dealers that involves drilling and pinning.

I know of at least one shaft that did fail. Luckily it happened at their warehouse yard. No injury or damage. This prompted the pinch bolt be checked for proper torque and connection for looseness in end of November early December. I know several we're have been found to fail that inspection. I see we just got the details of the temp fix campaign.

Just spoke with a major class-action attorney. Needless to say, they are very hungry for the case. They are the same firm that is handling the Toyota acceleration and Volkswagen emmission case. If anyone else wants to join, let me know, you can email me at jgrammes@aol.com and I will give you contact info, but they are filing a claim with them.
