w900l cruise control on smart wheel not working

That because a Pete driver would refuse to drive one, and if forced into it another will go along for moral support.

And to think I answered his question....legitimately...in my first post on this thread! At least gave him one clue where to start looking!

 

I see the post that started out " thank you otter"...but like Dave...I took that as sarcasm since we started off on a different tack....

As for the original question....my Pornstar (Prostar) also has the "in wheel controls" for lights, radio, jake. When I had an issue with one of the control segments...the shop said something about the "wheel connection plate". It seems (I don't know for sure, as it wasn't explained completely to me) that this plate can become "turned" or "off set" from the correct position to access all the control connections. This can only be accessed by removing the steering wheel and checking the individual connections to each system.

 

If you can get the truck hooked to a scan tool you can read the switches & see what is or isn't working. The problem could be the brake switch or speed sensor circuits to the ecm. It doesnt have to be in the wheel.

Another one.........Ok, I'll make the best of it since YOU don't have a sense of HUMOR either.........
I have 94 379, and my "CRUISE CONTROL" also had quit working, and I have also had gotten an air leak somewhere under the dash. When I found the air leak, it was coming out of a "SWTICH" with 2 wire's on it. I replace the switch and was told it was the "CLUTCH SWITCH" . The way it work's is, when You tap on the clutch pedal, it knock's OFF the cruise control.
So "NOW" that you have the "411'"(info), how about the "THUMB'S UP" !!!
