Whoever wrote it got one thing right, the part about some radio shops lacking.
Don't get me wrong, I am not a radio tech, currently trying to teach myself, but I still got a laugh at this.

I got the biggest kick out of the first paragraph, where (thankfully) I was informed that the most important part of my purchase was the radio, and that (optionally) "here are some other thing you'll want to look into picking up as well" such as,. oh I don't know, maybe an ANTENNA or COAX lol. . . . . . as if the radio has the capability to function without either of these lol
darthanubis, rabbiporkchop and soloflyr Thank this. -
I don't think English was the author's first language from the sentence construction. I would also guess the author has little or no interest in the radio hobby.
burnsey and rabbiporkchop Thank this. -
Oh crap! I can't find where the batteries go, I'm sure that must be my problem this whole time. And can someone please tell me what type of saw to cut my fibreglass antenna with? I can't seem to get 2.5 across all channels.
