I run around all the time with emailed copies of permits and have never had a problem until that guy. I hate the states for the fact you have to have the hard copy and sign it.

MB and SK are fine with just a number. Not sure about BC but the rest of em want you to have a hard copy with ya.

They had the right permit. Its a company that has trucks going to Leduc at least 3 times a week for at least the last 5 years

Why? Where I live it's not uncommon to see semis parked on people's property. Do you think it's an eyesore or is there another reason?

I honestly don't have a problem with people parking trucks in their driveway. As long as its fully on your property and not an eyesore, I think it should be fine. However, bylaw enforcement might have something to say about it.

Sometimes I forget how silly living in a city is. Probably 1/4 of the people where I live have some kind of truck or machinery parked on their property. Reminds me when a city slicker tried to tell me I'd be arrested if I shot guns on my property. I just laughed.

Correct me if I am wrong...and I am quite often...but unless you have a trailer/load on there is NO bylaw that speciffically states that you cannot drive/park a class 8 tractor on non-truck routes unless there is a posted max weight rating. even then I would argue that in court, as some RVs can weigh as much as a tractor....

Ok. So wrong on what part? All of it? Or varies from city to city? Is it a bylaw, municipal, county or provincial?
