Watkins-Shepard Acquired by Schneider

How long u been driving

 

I get an email from Watkins German Shepard every other day. They must really need drivers in Phoenix area. It has Schneider's phone number on it. I did a local bit with Schneider awhile ago, when WS was acquired, and I saw some of your tractors at the their dirt terminal. The WS tractors looked so nice compared to all the others. You have my sympathy.

 

That's true I'm currently out and the Dalton, GA terminal and I gotta say I love it! All the drop and hook loads you could ask for.. but mostly been sending me to the Northeast.

 

Been with Watkins a little over a year now.

 

Watkins is a really good company. They take care of their drivers. Some drivers say they can't make any money here but I think it's all in what you make of it. I have made good money since day one. Took a bunch of crappy loads in the beginning but after a couple months it got better.
I just hope things stay like they are. I understand Schneider changing things for the better. Just hope it's all for the better.

 

where do they run out of Kerney? is there dispatch into nyc?

 

They have day cabs that run into NYC from Kearney NJ. I have taken a few loads to NJ from Dalton GA. And yes Driver91 your exactly right it's all in what you make of it! I make great money and only been here 3 month and went from a 2013 Volvo to a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia Evolution. Long story short if you put in the miles and get your loads there on time you will advance.

 

You will get loads just about everywhere mostly on the eastern side up n down I-75 I-95 I-81 etc.

 

They also have some dedicated Home Depot loads going to Winchester VA.
