If you stay out on weekends are the trips usually long runs,or a couple of short runs?

If you stay out you should get service center to service center runs. My typical run was from Virginia or Louisville etc to the Dallas service center and back. I drove out of Charlotte so that was straight money.

Now on a couple occasions I spent a whole day delivering from Dallas service center about 1 5-10 miles and repeat all day before I was routed home. That sucked.

It depends on time of year and what they have available. I done many weekend out and they vary. I've done LTL runs; I've done truckload; and I was a short hauler. (Trailer hopping from yard to yard) so it depends.

My FM usually sets me up with Truckload so I don't have to contend with weekend dispatch, but sometimes it cant be helped. What I don't like about staying out is the recap if the beginning week was short runs.
