I volunteered to work a long run ending Saturday as I did in the past. Well I was told by my fleet manager via qualcomm Friday once I delivered in Mississippi this morning free form dispatch for empty miles home. Well that was going to cut me close on time but was going to work. Well then I was told to go pick up a load from a yard where the truck broke down. I do and now can't make it to Charlotte for home time. I am stuck in Atlanta Service Center until 7am Monday morning for my reset. The good is once I hit the road Monday it's a solid 593 miles that doesn't deliver until early Tuesday morning.

So all in all a very bad end to the week or a very good start to next week

Since you volunteered to work and you got the shaft on hometime, you should ask dispatch if you can have an extra day hometime.
