So you figure thers is a simple solution to her situation, in trucking with dac involved, with negative entries: nothing has a simple solution. As for ltl companies most are ATA members who work hand and hand with dac and I am inclined to believe they started dac. Besides she is still hurt.

I would recommend the newbies beware of starting out with Werner. The trainer that I had just used me to get more miles. I almost always drove the "night shift" and he would take over when we delivered. I almost never backed
the truck in training even though I asked him often to give me some instruction in it. When I had trouble backing on my road test, they just
had me back into a larger space. I pretty much had to learn backing the truck on the job. When I had been with them for 3 months my dispatcher asked if I was interested in being a trainer. I had to laugh out loud, but that's all the experience that they require to be a trainer.

If you go with Werner and you don't feel that you're getting good training
request another trainer and another if you have to. Many people have had the experience that I had. Most of the trainers are only interested in the extra miles that they can get with a student driver. :newb:

That is an old story but is a legitimate complaint.
One of the things to look for in a company is if they have a "training" program find out how much experience it takes to be a trainer. If it's only a couple months then stay away from them. Six months OTR is not enough experience to train.

My brother just walked off a job with Werner because of the trainer's lack of hygiene. Apparently, he made a mess in his pants and didn't do anything about it for three days. I feel sorry for the image that may cast on Werner if this man has any customer contact.
