I am a trainer. One of my students recently asked me what the miniature doors on the trailer doors of reefer trailers, and I did not know the answer. I still don't know the answer.

What are the miniature doors for on the trailer doors of reefers?

some loads require "burping" the inside of the Trailer. Onion loads require this.

Rick Brown and truckon Thank this.

Access to get a pulp temperature on the load. Some trailers have two doors. One on the front, and one on the back.
Now since the one on the front is usually very high up, I always believed it was so the flyng leprechauns could fly into the trailer and cool off...:D

It's so you can reach in and grab a peach ,,,for pulping purposes only.
Wait,,do you know what pulping is ? Refers are a breed all of their own, salute to all those who deal with all the details..
