    Don't know bout hot tubs, but I saw a water bed in a freightliner cab over at the dealership in the 70's. Hand to God it's a true story. I started jacking the cab over, it did not want to raise up, got it up about a foot, would not go. Opened the drivers door jumped up in there and found the water bed. Driver drained it so we could service his truck. What a dumb ###.

    Run a day cab and when you stop for the night, some hotels have jacuzzi suites.
    Hotels cook you breakfast and make your bed. They do the dishes, too, when you're done eating. For dinner, most nice hotels are fairly close to nice dining establishments. No reason at all to choke down truck stop slop or be forced to cook for yourself.

    What kind of bottom feeder outfit are you working for that doesn't have running water in the trucks?

    They must not buy Freightliners. In a Freightliner, running water is standard. It runs in the windshield, in the sleeper windows, in the door seals....

    This is how we made a redneck hot tub on the beach a few years ago:

    1. Place a tarp or waterbed liner in the back of your pickup truck (you flatbedders could stack dunnage boards on your trailers);
    2. Fill with water;
    3. Place a metal trash can in the center, fill with firewood and light it on fire;
    4. Insert Shop Vac hose into the water, plug Shop Vac into inverter, turn Shop Vac on (make sure the hose is connected to the outlet port on the Shop Vac).

    you really dont want a hot tub on the truck. if you dont get that cover on just right, the water will slosh every where and make a mess. A Sauna is better.

    The water tank was very small on that particular truck but it was a nice feature.
